The heart of the VLGST is its members. Together, VLGST members form an impactful community of philanthropy and are an indispensable part of our society through their grantmaking activities.
Membership
Membership in the Association is open to public benefit foundations and trusts under Liechtenstein law which have their registered office in Liechtenstein, are exclusively and irrevocably not-for-profit, have their own assets, use these assets or proceeds therefrom for public benefit purposes, have an auditing body in accordance with the legal provisions, and are in essence not dependent on donations for their activities.
Associated partnership
Public benefit foundations and trusts under Liechtenstein law which do not meet the membership requirements, or which do not seek membership for other reasons may benefit from the Association as Associate Partners.
They can participate in the events of the Association as Associate Partners and benefit from services and further education events. They do not have active and passive voting and election rights and are not legally members of the Association.
Application procedure
An admission takes place in the following steps: The interested foundation/trust sends an application form to the VLGST office. Subsequently, the Board of Directors and/or the Management conducts a meeting to get to know each other. The Board of Directors decides on the admission of new members and associated partners.
